Mark currently serves as an advisor in the energy industry.
Previously, Mark spent seven years as CEO of University Lands, the office that oversees 2.1 million acres of land in West Texas, established by the Texas Constitution in 1876 for the benefit of the UT and Texas A&M systems of higher education. Prior to Mark appointment to University Lands in 2015, he was president and CEO of EV Energy Partners, LP and executive vice president and chief operating officer of EnerVest, Ltd in Houston. Prior to his tenure at EnerVest, Mark held executive leadership positions with Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Canadian Occidental Petroleum.
Mark also serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Methodist Hospital System and is a member of the Board of Stewards of Chapelwood United Methodist Church.
