TAYLOR MASON
Managing Director

Taylor is a Managing Director at Mountain Capital and serves on the firm’s investment committee.

He started his career in 2009 and has extensive experience as an advisor, operator and investor across the energy landscape. Prior to joining Mountain Capital, Taylor was a Director at Talara Capital Management where he led the team’s upstream private equity efforts and assisted the founders in the build-out of a venture capital platform.

Prior to Talara, Taylor was a Director in the finance group at Oasis Petroleum & Oasis Midstream Partners. During his time at Oasis, he worked across business development, planning, infrastructure, capital markets, and investor relations. Previously, Mr. Mason was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley in their Global Energy Group focusing on upstream M&A and capital markets transactions. He began his career in the Leveraged and Structured Finance Group at BNP Paribas in London.

Taylor holds an M.S. in Energy, Trade & Finance with merit from the Cass Business School at the City University of London and a B.A. in Economics from Denison College, where he graduated Cum Laude.
