Ben Hur is an operating partner at Mountain Capital, providing general management and strategic advisory as well as midstream and downstream energy expertise.

Prior to joining Mountain Capital, Ben served as Vice President, Midstream Commercial and Business Development at Phillips 66. In that role, he ran numerous commercial, strategy, business development and marketing functions for all commodity pipelines, terminals and docks, along with global NGL and natural gas trading. During his tenure, he executed and oversaw the strategic acquisition of DCP LLC, DCP LP, Pinnacle Midstream, as well as the disposition of numerous non-strategic assets. Prior to his Midstream role, Ben also served in numerous commercial marketing leadership roles that included US Gasoline and Diesel Supply, Fuel Oil and Feedstock Trading, Renewable Trading, Polypropylene Marketing, Coke and Sulfur Marketing, and Corporate Development.

Ben also spent time working at SAC Capital Advisors as a senior research analyst covering the energy sector. Prior to that, he worked for Morgan Stanley in the Investment Banking and Equity Research divisions in both New York City and London. He has nearly 20 years of energy investing and operating experience.

Ben is a United States Marine and served 6 years as an infantry officer during the Global War on Terrorism. He received a Bachelor of Science degree with merit from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
